Vanderbilt International Properties Ltd. was founded by Stacie Mills and Peter de Savary (deSavary.com) In 2010. Peter de Savary, a well-known international entrepreneurial businessman and yachtman, has owned and restored a number of important historic estates in the Newport area and created Carnegie Abbey, a championship golf club and sporting estate as well as numerous other successful real estate and private club ventures around the world. Peter fell in love with Newport when he led the America’s Cup campaign for Great Britain in 1983 . Stacie Mills joined Peter de Savary in 2001 and Mary Waddington joined the VIP Ltd. team in 2010.
Originally from Texas, Stacie has worked in sales and marketing for new developments for over 30+ years, with over 25 years experience in the real estate industry. Stacie has brokered deals from Chicago to England, Atlanta to Abaco, and Grenada to Barbados, although today, the Newport area is Stacie’s primary focus. When not working on a client’s marketing campaign or negotiating a real estate deal, Stacie enjoys hosting tailgate parties at Polo, sailing around Aquidneck Island and working on a number of charitable causes. Peter de Savary
Peter de Savary is a well known international entrepreneurial businessman, who, since the age of 16, has applied his skills in many areas, including the petroleum industry, shipping, shipyards, property, import/export and the club and hospitality industry amongst others. His activities have spanned three continents.
Peter de Savary has been responsible for the regeneration of substantial areas of industrial waste land into very successful projects both in the UK and USA. As the driving force and chairman of various companies he was responsible for the success of thirteen shipyards and established a significant international ship refuelling company and has been at the helm of three oil refineries. His extensive agricultural experience includes the management of Royal and Government farms in the Middle East. He is used to leading and motivating teams from just a few to several thousand people.
